A young man found himself in an unusual predicament after discovering his girlfriend’s explicit K-Pop fanfiction featuring him as a character.
The 19-year-old, who goes by the username Ken_Kaniff4205 on Reddit (referred to as Ken), and his 18-year-old girlfriend have been together for two and a half years. The issue arose when Ken stumbled upon his girlfriend’s fanfiction, which centered around the popular K-Pop idols-turned-actors Seungho and Han Sejin from the group THE MAN BLK.
The fanfiction, titled “Mr. Heart,” depicted a romantic relationship between the two idols, with Ken’s girlfriend inserting Ken himself into the story as a character. The explicit nature of the fanfiction, featuring Ken in a sexualized manner, left him feeling uncomfortable and betrayed.
